Frequently Asked Questions
- Hours of operation: 8 am – 6 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The doctor's office hours begin at 9:30 am.
- Routine prescription renewals are managed only during the usual hours of operation.
- Dr. Malis is available always for consultation or out-patient evaluation of true medical emergencies. He can be reached by pager by dialing 1-(978) 316-3977.
- Dr. Meena Mehta, who is board-certified in pulmonary medicine and critical care, is the admitting doctor for any medical patient of Dr. Malis', who requires hospitalization at Emerson. She can be reached by telephone (978) 371-7778 or (978) 897-4757.
- Insurances: unfortunately, we cannot accept HMO insurance. We do accept Medicare, many preferred provider organizations (PPO's) and private insurance carriers. These include Blue Cross Blue Shield, Unicare and United Healthcare. Aetna is accepted in an out-of-network capacity.
- Dr. Malis' medical assistant is Lisa.
